Coming to Malacca!

What an early morning, again with the screaming cats! We had one of our best breakfasts yet, French Toast! Our cattle truck arrived at 7:30 to take us to the Chini bus depot where we could catch our long haul bus to Malacca. Our journey was quite short comparing it to previous journeys. We arrived in Malacca around 3pm and took a long walk through Little India to where our hotel was. We have already seen some nice sites, but the one that the boys wanted to visit the most was Tescos! We gave the boys a few hours to themselves to settle in their rooms then we met for dinner. We took a walk back through Little India towards Chinatown where there were some lovely resturants, but the boys had found a mega mall instead that had some resturants in that they wanted to go to. We ended up eating in a BBQ self cook resturant. Cooking our own food was really fun but also highly messy! Alex and Luke managed to burn their food to the cook pan and even set the noodles on fire! After dinner the boys walked round the mall and did a little bit of shopping, many bought fake watches and sun glasses. On our walk back to the hotel we passed through Chinatown and came across a Kung Fu DoJo where some local people were practicing. The boys were invited in to watch and then had their picture taken with some of the students and teachers, the boys were very excited. On the way home we walked along the river and watched a boat cruise pass by. We all had a great first night in Malacca and are looking forward to a full day tomorrow.

  1. Enjoy reading your blogs. What a fabulous experience, looks exciting but tiring going by photo of Luke! Cooking and entertainment seems a bit wild, will continue to read with interest. Team 1 have been working at the elephant sanctuary, have held some scary looking snakes and are off diving now. Wonder what you are up to next?
